Praise Team
Scripture:

Mission Statement:
Our mission as the worship ministry is to lead the congregation into corporate worship of Almighty God. Our primary purpose is to give God the glory, honor and praise that He deserves.
Services We Provide:
- Lead the church with a combination of contemporary and traditional songs
- Provide singing and worship, when appropriate, at special events
- Teach the congregation new songs
- Encourage and train members and youth who want to become part of the worship team
Pre-teens Ministry
Scripture:
Matthew 18: 2-6 “He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the… position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.”
Mission Statement:
Prepare our youth for their Christian walk in a more relaxed setting. Our youth participate in many events such as spiritual lock-ins; fishing trips; trips to amusement parks; trips to the Houston Food Bank.
Services We Provide:
- Community service initiatives
- Team-building skills
- An opportunity to serve the Lord through work projects
- Nursing home visitation
- Team-oriented environment.
- Provides trips to places of interest in and outside of the community.
- Church worship experience through singing, praising, praying, giving, and listening to God’s Word
Seasoned Saints Ministry
Scripture:
Psalm 92:12-14 “But good people will grow like palm trees; they will be tall like the cedars of Lebanon. Like trees planted in the Temple of the Lord, they will grow strong in the courtyards of our God. When they are old, they will still produce fruit; they will be healthy and fresh.”
Mission Statement:
To provide good, clean Christian fellowship for all our sisters and brothers 60 years old and above.
Services We Provide:
- Educate seniors on social services resources available to the community.
- Provides trips to places of interest in and outside of the community.
- Provides fun filled activities.
- Provides fellowship filled with prayer and praise, and always a good meal.
Security Ministry
Scripture:
Deuteronomy 33:12 “… he said: “Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.”
Mission Statement:
To provide for a safe environment for all our members and visitors during scheduled church services and/or church events.
Services We Provide:
- Safety of grounds, church and the building during services and/or events.
- Advice and counsel to the church leadership on proactive ways to keep members and visitors in a safe environment.
- Prevent organizations from putting fliers or campaign information on cars.
- Inform children to attend classes or be with parent during services.
- Inform the members when vehicles are blocking entrances, doorways, or emergency vehicle entrances.
- Report damage or vandalism of property.
- Assist guests in the event of vandalism or damage to vehicles.
- Assist guest with evacuation or safety during storms
Sign Language Ministry: Anointed Hands of Silent Sounds
Scripture:
Hebrews 10: 24. “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us
encourage one another– and all the more as you see the Day approaching”.
Mission Statement:
To effectively communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ with deaf people. This statement merely focuses the Great Commission of Jesus, which is to preach the Gospel to all people, on a group of people who has generally been left out.
Services We Provide:
- Delivering the word by using Sign Language (Nonverbal communication)
- Liaison for the deaf community
- Prepare and distribute bible visuals for deaf people
- Train Christians–both deaf and hearing–to minister among deaf people
- Do personal work among deaf people.
Soaring Singles Ministry
Scripture:
James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
Mission Statement:
Our purpose is to bring single Christian men and women whose single status is by choice or circumstance, together, to help edify one another through the study of God’s Word, fellowship and outreach ministry.
Services We Provide:
- Community Give Back (Community Service)
- Christian Outlets for Engagement (Social Fun)
- Developing Rapport with fellow singles (Bonding)
- Provide tools to learn how to live a saved life single.
- Teach how to give service to God as a single adult.
- Fellowship other Christian single adults.
- Provide resources and information encouraging a healthy way of living. Develop and atmosphere where Men and Women are taught the principles of being a Christian, and the importance of making disciples.
- Aid in the spiritual growth and physical support of Christian Singles.
- Support those whom desire to be free from whatever situations, strongholds or addictions one battles.
Social Services Ministry
Scripture:
Acts 20:35 “In everything I’ve done, I have demonstrated to you how necessary it is to work on behalf of the weak and not exploit them. You’ll not likely go wrong here if you keep remembering that our Master said, ‘You’re far happier giving than getting.”
Mission Statement:
To bridge the gap of educational and resourceful information which exists within the maize of city, county, state, and federal agencies already in place that should be able to assist TGCOC members with their concerns, problems, and/or social/economic issues.
Services We Provide:
- Coordination of services available to meet the needs of the Body of Christ
- Introductory computer classes
Teen Ministry
Scripture:
Jeremiah 31:13 (ESV) “Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.
Mission Statement:
Our Teen Ministry exists to develop young people who love Jesus Christ and connect them with others by building meaningful relationships. We seek to develop young people who honor God with their daily lives and serve others.
Services We Provide:
- Biblical principles, academic excellence, and practical knowledge of God
- Offer fun and wholesome fellowship opportunities through outings and trips that helps them grow close to God in a safe environment
- Continual prayer for the community, local/state/federal governmental bodies in all things concerning the Kingdom of God
TIRR Ministry
Scripture:
Matthew 11:28–30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Mission Statement:
A ministry that serves those at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research. Foundation (TIRR)

- Audience participation in singing spiritual songs and hymns,
- Uplifting Prayers
- Allotted time for patients and family members to state the goodness and healing power of God through their Praise Report

Transportation Ministry
Scripture:
Psalm 121:8 “The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.”
Mission Statement:
To be responsible for transporting members to and from worship services.
Services We Provide:
- Transportation to weekly worship services and bible class
- Transportation to ministry events for children’s ministries and seniors.
